Crafting Elegance: Realistic Onyx Material and Lighting
This project was a true delight, as I brought to life a stunning lamp design for Sense+Vision based on the client’s sketches and specifications. The centerpiece of this product was its material ''Onyx'' paired with LED lighting that created a warm, captivating glow as light passed through the translucent stone.
The most challenging and rewarding aspect was crafting the realistic Onyx material and that respond realistically credibly with the internal lighting. Achieving this required intricate shader work in Blender to replicate the stone's texture and translucency, capturing how light diffuses naturally through Onyx.

I used Blender for modeling, texturing, and the creation of the Onyx material. Substance Painter was used to refine some additional textures. The final renders in Blender, achieving a high-quality, photorealistic result that truly showcases the beauty of the product.
This project allowed me to demonstrate my ability to create sophisticated lighting effects and materials, to bring the client’s vision to life.
